I got the error when accessed vCenter from Windows 8
Just installed client on W7 and it run fine.
Sorry for not letting know about 8 
. But when I did web search there was no any info about this... Don't believe that I am first in the world that felt on this.
Just came to my mind... if somebody can confirm that it is not related to W8. I probably have to chkdsk of my local drive. It basically copied 162 MB before generating an error.
