In case you are not sure to which VC the ESXI host is connected , please login to to your ESXI Host . cat vpxd.log (var/log/vmware) . check for the Ip of the VC .
When you are connecting to the ESXI Host via the Vsphere client also you get the message that the ESXI or ESX host is managed by some VC .
