Before uninstalling VMware Fusion 6.0 you need to change the Hardware Version from 10 to 9 for any Virtual Machine you upgraded. Have a look at: Image may be NSFW.

Then uninstall VMware Fusion 6 and reinstall VMware Fusion 5.
